AMCOSA President’s Message

Dear Friends,

It is with immense pride and gratitude that I serve as the President of our prestigious Andhra Medical College Old Students Association (AMCOSA). Our beloved Alma Mater, which has completed 100 glorious years of service to the nation, continues to be the foundation of our achievements and a source of inspiration for generations of medical professionals.

When I took up this responsibility, my vision was clear—to strengthen the bond between AMCOSA and our Alma Mater, and to bring together our alumni spread across the country and the world.

I am delighted that under the committed leadership of our Honorary Secretary Dr PV Sudhakar and the dedicated efforts of the Executive Committee especially membership drive committee led by Dr GTV Ramesh we have made significant progress toward this vision. It gives me great pleasure to announce the launch of the new AMCOSA website, a platform that will help connect our alumni, preserve our rich legacy, and keep everyone informed about our activities and initiatives. I encourage every alumnus to make full use of this platform and remain actively engaged with the association.

Today, AMCOSA stands not only as an alumni association but as a vibrant forum for Scientific CMEs, literary and cultural programs, professional fellowship, and service initiatives. This growth has been possible because of the strong foundation laid by our respected advisors and the dedicated leadership of our immediate Past President, Dr. R. Sasiprabha, who guided the association with distinction for over a decade.

In the coming year, our focus will be on:

• Expanding our alumni network and strengthening our Membership Drive.
• Supporting our Alma Mater through academic programs, mentorship, and welfare initiatives.
• Preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of Andhra Medical College while building a stronger future for generations to come.

I warmly invite each one of you to actively participate in AMCOSA’s activities, explore our new website, and share your valuable suggestions. Together, let us ensure that the torch of Andhra Medical College continues to shine brightly for the next hundred years and beyond.

Before I conclude, on behalf of the entire AMCOSA family, I express my deepest gratitude to our visionary founders, Dr. Brahmayya Sastry and Dr. Vyaghreswarudu. It is because of their foresight, dedication, and selfless service that AMCOSA stands tall today. We remain forever indebted to them and are committed to upholding the values and legacy they so nobly established.
