AMCOSA Congratulates Dr. T. Ravi Raju on Lifetime Achievement Award

The Andhra Medical College Old Students’ Association (AMCOSA) proudly congratulates Dr. T. Tatapudi Ravi Raju, an illustrious alumnus of Andhra Medical College and one of India’s most distinguished nephrologists, on being conferred the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Society of Nephrology (ISN).

The award was presented during the annual conference of the Indian Society of Nephrology held in Chennai, recognizing Dr. Ravi Raju’s outstanding and lifelong contributions to medical healthcare, medical education, research, and academic administration.

Dr. Ravi Raju has dedicated decades of exemplary service to the healthcare sector, leaving a lasting impact on nephrology and medical education in India. His remarkable career includes serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), where he played a pivotal role in strengthening medical education and academic governance. He also served as a member of the National Board of Examinations (NBE), contributing significantly to the introduction of online examinations for NEET and various super-specialty courses, while helping streamline the curriculum and examination systems for DNB programs across the country.

A highly respected nephrologist, Dr. Ravi Raju completed his DM in Nephrology from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in 1985. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served the Andhra Pradesh Medical Education Services in several key leadership positions and has also held the office of President of the Indian Society of Nephrology, reflecting his immense contribution to the specialty.

His commitment to public service has also been recognized nationally through the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Award, presented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2021 for his exceptional service to the nation.

As one of Andhra Medical College’s distinguished alumni, Dr. Ravi Raju continues to inspire generations of medical students, academicians, and healthcare professionals through his unwavering dedication, visionary leadership, and pursuit of excellence.
